A day in the life of a Roots Dayhome Child:

7:30 OPEN (7:30-8:30 Healthy Breakfast provided if desired)

7:30-9:00 Welcome activities and free play. 

9:00-9:45 Welcome to today; Indoor Movement, Songs, Dance & Stretch

9:45-10:15 Healthy Morning Snack 

10:15-11:15 Free Outdoor Play (sensory activities included for outdoor play) and/or Open Art Craft time

11:15-11:40 Circle time; stories, songs, group activities, days of the week, counting, etc. 

11:40-12:40 Lunch time

12:40-2:30 Nap time Prep & Nap time (Nap time times are flexible. Roots Dayhomes really wants to meet the needs of the individual child based on their needs, unlike big group childcare)

2:00-3:00 Wake up times, quiet table top activities, sensory activities. 

3:00- 3:45 Snack time

3:45-4:45 Craft/Arts

4:45-5:30 Outdoor/Indoor Free Play

5:30 Closed 

***** As I am sure all parents know, sometimes things don't go as planned with children. It's best to be flexible and we plan to be flexible with this schedule. This can however give you an idea of what goes on once you are on you way to work (all this and a whole lot of LOVE).

**** All snacks and meals are provided, all meals will be fresh and healthy. Any food allergies are welcome and we will make changes for your child's needs.  Age permitted, children will often have the chance to help create/bake and make snacks together.

 

Preschool Program* will not have nap time unless desired by parents, during this time on the above schedule, the children will have a more in depth opportunity to explore the two curriculums used. Please see 'About' tab for more details on Curriculum.
